Circle Keeper, Coach, Educator, & Facilitator.

I want to work with you through the transformative power of Breathwork, somatic practice, and Circle facilitation. Wellness reflects the health and sustainability of change within our personal lives, our projects, our organizations and our societies. It starts as close as the breath and has a ripples out farther than we can imagine.

I envision a world in which we are skilled enough, brave enough, to turn toward each other. To discover who we are underneath our roles and our identities. That we can access more choice in our lives by noticing and repairing the patterns we inherited unwillingly or unknowingly, working to restore dignity and belonging so we can deepen our relationships.

All around us, I see the effects of disconnection but I also see people doing amazing things. The current socio-political-ecological crisis is compounding, and it can be so hard to get by, to feel secure, to find stability in uncertainty. There is a deep need for community, a desire to change the world, to live in a different way. We’re coming to realize the necessity of rest and slowing down, but often don’t know how it’s possible, or how to access the support. Capitalist and imperialist norms prevail inside our workplaces and our bodies, even when we strive to serve justice, healing, and equity.

You are not alone. None of us are. And I am practicing, learning along side you every day.

I am committed to reclaiming my humanity, and want to walk with you as you reclaim yours.

Libby Smith (she/they) is an educator, facilitator, photographer, coach, and Senior Advisor at Viable Insights committed to guiding individuals and organizations on a journey of rediscovering their humanity. Through her nearly 30-year career in evaluation, management, and organizational development they have witnessed the wide-ranging effects of disconnection, as well as the profound impact of soulful, deep connection - to self & others. Stepping away from institutionalized academia and embracing her place as a facilitator and Circle keeper, she helps people remember and reclaim interdependent relationships as both a way of life and a tool of divestment from racialized capitalism. Through the transformative power of breathwork, somatic practice, and group facilitation, Libby seeks to cultivate a fully embodied sense of presence, compassion, and choice, opening themself and others toward a broader scope of what is possible in our personal lives, in organizations and beyond. Her work is deeply informed by Emergent Strategy (adrienne maree brown), politicized/cultural somatics (via generative somatics and Staci K. Haines), and a Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Libby is a Virgo with five planets in air, keeping her open to change while being grounded in process. She is currently in her nomadic years, cultivating a sense of home in her body and alongside her wife, Gwendolyn. Together they are building a Culture of Gathering.
